Scott White is the associate producer of West Coast Adventures. He assumes many roles. His versatility as an accomplished DOP, camera operator and editor make him an invaluable member of the production team.
Scott loves the thrill of the shoot on location and the challenges that each new experience brings. With a natural eye for detail and composition, he is always looking for that special shot or angle that will enhance the segment, but he also enjoys the editing side of TV production.
According to Scott, "An equal balance of shooting and editing is a very important part of the creative process for me… a zen-like, yin-yang thing! I love the team-work involved in location shooting, but then to escape into my editing 'cave' and be totally absorbed in the construction of the show is very satisfying".
In a previous life, Scott came from a graphic design / advertising agency background, and additionally, his love of photography naturally transformed into videography when he was given his first video camera back in 1990.
As a senior teacher in the Japanese art of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu, Scott has also produced numerous martial arts training videos over the years, including an International 2001 Martial Arts video that earned an award from the Japanese Art and Film Society for "Best Sports Film of the Year".
